How to apply for a Tier 2 (General) Visa from India to the UK?

Under Tier 2 General, you can stay in the UK for a limit of 5 years and 14 days or the time given on your endorsement of sponsorship and an extra one month, whichever is shorter. Your stay must be beginning close to 14 days before the beginning date on your declaration of sponsorship. You can apply to stretch out this visa for up to an additional five years, as long as your total stay is not crossing six years.
